Agenda
1. Review of key happenings
* Allan's terms
Allan to write up something that talks about this. Jeff L. suggests examples would be good.
* Jeff Lansing's WSDL
Jeff's digging has exposed two problems that stand in the way of our preservation of HTTP GET.
1) there is no way to have optional input parameters.
2) No way to say what the type of the result is when you're not getting XML back since things like image/jpeg are outside the type system.WSDL community is very focused on SOAP and are unlikely to be dealing with large binary blobs.
What if we use WSDL only for GetCapabilities, i.e. discover the service with WSDL then use non-WSDL responses.
Need to think about ways to work around or within WSDL.
Maybe encoding is not so bad. We need to look into this some more.
Question is how does this impact existing WMS's?
Isn't there an extension mechanism for WSDL?
Look at the UDDI site for possible white papers about use of WSDL (George's version is 1.05).
* David O'Mahony's metadata mapping
Jeff DLB - Service Title and Layer Title are mapped into same item (Citation Title) on the search response. This needs to be resolved. No other showstoppers right now, but people need more time to look at it. There may be a problem with the bounding box mapping.
2. Prepare for OGC meeting (George and Doug)
